Do I need a four wheel drive?
Some of our cabins are "four wheel drive in winter" cabins. This is because we have a very steep hill to reach these cabins. In snow and icy conditions, a non-four wheel drive vehicle will not be able to reach these cabins. A four-wheel drive vehicle is required when staying at these cabins November through April. A four-wheel drive is not required the rest of the year. Please note, we also have 6 cabins that do not have a four-wheel drive requirement.
Do I need snow chains?
Aspen Springs is located in the Southern Rocky Mountains. Anytime guests travel in the mountains in the winter, they should always take precautionary measures including checking the weather and road conditions prior to travel. We strongly recommend guests bring snow chains fitted to your vehicle and know how and when to use them. Roads on and off our property may be icy and snow packed. Snow chains provide traction for safe travel in these conditions. We further recommend that the driver of the vehicle learn how to drive in snow and icy conditions.
Can I request a specific cabin?
Many of our loyal guests have their favorite cabin. As such, we do allow guests to request a specific cabin location. Guests wishing to stay in a particular cabin can contact info@aspenspringsangelfirecom. Please be advised, however, specific cabin location requests are not guaranteed. Aspen Springs reserves the right to move guests between locations as necessary, without notice.
