Yes, our first order of business is to discuss camping chairs. As you’ll read below, we highly recommend bringing camping chairs to many of these events – this just makes life a little easier and your experience more comfortable. We know, hauling camping chairs on your vacation is a bit of a buzzkill. No worries – we have you covered. Aspen Springs guests are welcome to borrow camping chairs throughout their stay at no additional charge. Just call or text us to let us know you need the chairs prior to your arrival– we will deliver directly to your cabin. |
Our second order of business is to discuss frisbees. The frisbee is a long-overlooked must-bring mountain vacation essential for families. Why? First and foremost it’s just plain fun. Secondly, while the adults are wanting to just sit and watch live music, or fish, or relax by the lake, the kids often want more action. Enter the frisbee – this take-anywhere tool is available for complimentary loan to Aspen Springs guests. Whether you want to toss it around while you’re at Aspen Springs, or bring it with you to the lake, or a concert in the park, just let us know via text or call before your stay and we will get it delivered to your cabin.

Regardless of when you come this summer, make sure to stop by the Angel Fire Farmer’s Market, every Sunday from June 21st-September 13th 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Events Center. Aspen Springs Insider Tip: Our favorite Sunday routine – cruise by the farmer’s market and grab some freshly baked goodies, snacks and produce and head to Monte Verde Lake for a relaxing picnic followed by kayaking on the lake. |
Summer Fest Music Series, Saturdays June 20th-September 12th 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Saturday nights in Angel Fire combine crisp cool mountain air and live music – the ultimate in relaxation! Angel Fire’s Summer Fest Music Series features a variety of artists. Concerts take place at the Mountain View Events Center Saturdays beginning June 20th through September 12th. Music starts at 5:00 p.m., admission is free. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
Aspen Springs Insider Tip: Bring camping chairs or a blanket and arrive a little early to claim a great spot. Families may also want to bring a frisbee or football so the kids can play while enjoying the music. Also, as the sun sets, temperatures will cool significantly, bring a jacket. |

Balloons Over Angel Fire, June 19th-21st

An Angel Fire tradition, Balloons Over Angel Fire is scheduled for June 19th-21st, 2026. This is one of the only high-mountain balloon events in the nation. Events kick off bright and early each morning at 6:00 a.m. with mass ascensions over the Moreno Valley. Visitors are able to watch balloonists fill their balloons and ascend over the valley – it’s a spectacular sight. Balloons take off from the Angel Fire airport.

Balloon Rides & Live Music
Have you always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon? Now’s your chance! Tethered balloon rides will be available Friday night 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Event Center. While you’re there, enjoy live music on the lawn.

Mimosa's in the Mountains
Saturday and Sunday, immediately following the ascension until 3:00 p.m., take part in a ballooning tradition and enjoy Mimosas in the Mountains at the Mountain View Event Center. Here, you’ll enjoy refreshing drinks, and more than 40 art, food and craft vendors.
Porsche Car Parade & Car Show Followed by Live Music
As a special treat, witness unique modern and classic cars in the Porsche Car parade on North Angel Fire Rd at 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Follow the cars to the Mountain View Event Center for a car show from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday. Stay for more live music beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Red River Vino in the Valley Art & Wine Festival, June 19th-21st

Angel Fire Air Affair, June 25th-27th

June 25th-27th, Angel Fire will turn its attention to the skies to celebrate all things airborne - aircraft displays, fly-ins, drone demonstrations, gliders, RC balloon showcases, and colorful kites. This is an event you won’t want to miss!
Festivities include a mass RC hot air balloon ascension, an Aviation & Armed Forces Expo where you can explore aircraft up close and meet pilots and view static aircraft displays – you can even try your hand at flying a drone. Whether you’re a plane enthusiast or you want to return to childhood and fly a kite, this is an event to remember. |

July 3: Live Music & Drone Show

Fourth of July in the Moreno Valley is a must-do event. Festivities begin Friday, July 3rd with a drone show and live music. The live music begins at 5:30pm at the Mountain Events Center with Radio Blast. Revisiting Creedence takes the stage at 7:00 p.m. The night’s festivities end with a spectacular drone show. Admission is free.

Finally, head to Eagle Nest Lake for fireworks over the lake beginning at 9:00 p.m.

Red River’s Fourth of July Parade starts at 10:00 a.m., which is followed by a family-friendly Fourth of July celebration in Brandenburg Park. The festivities run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and feature music, community fun with old fashioned family games and local vendors.
Blews Fest, July 10th-11th

July 10th-11th, Angel Fire celebrates blues music and New Mexico craft beer. Events begin Friday night 5:30-8:00 p.m. with live blues music and craft beer tastings from New Mexico breweries. Saturday, the live music begins at 3:30 p.m. and continues until 8:00 p.m. with headliner Kenny Neal, the Grammy-nominated Louisiana bluesman. Events take place at the Mountain View Events Center, admission is free.

Red River Jamboree Music Festival, July 17th-19th
Just 45 minutes from Angel Fire, the Red River Jamboree Music Festival is just the right thing for the music lover and the foodie alike – bringing together great live music performances and a lively food truck festival, including family friendly activities
Tribute Weekend, July 24th-25th
July 24th and 25th are Tribute Weekend, where Angel Fire brings tribute bands to the stage, bringing iconic artists back to life. From classic rock and punk legends, this weekend will rock the mountains with fun. Friday night begins at 5:30 p.m. with a tribute to Pink. Saturday night at 4:30 p.m. enjoy a tribute to Neil Young, followed at 6:30 p.m. by a tribute to Earth, Wind and Fire. Admission is free at the Mountain View Events Center.
