Angel Fire Shopping Guide
Grocery Stores, Souvenirs, Ski Shops & Local Stores
Whether you're stocking your cabin with groceries, replacing forgotten winter gear, shopping for unique mountain décor, or picking up souvenirs before heading home, this guide will help you find the best shopping in Angel Fire.
Unlike many larger mountain towns, Angel Fire doesn't have one large shopping district. Instead, you'll find a collection of locally owned businesses spread throughout town, each with its own personality. We love supporting these small businesses and think you will too.
As an Aspen Springs guest, you'll also have complimentary access to many items—including premium sleds, snowshoes, tennis rackets, and a variety of small kitchen appliances—meaning you may not need to purchase or rent everything during your stay.

Nearby Shopping Day Trips
While Angel Fire has several great locally owned shops, we also enjoy exploring the neighboring mountain communities. Each town has its own personality, making them fun day trips that combine shopping, dining, and outdoor adventure. If you have an extra day during your vacation, we highly recommend visiting one—or all three!
Eagle Nest Shopping
Approximately 20 minute drive from Aspen Springs.
If you're looking for a relaxing afternoon, Eagle Nest is one of our favorite places to spend a few hours. The town's charming main street is lined with locally owned shops, cafés, restaurants, and small businesses that invite you to slow down and browse. It's the kind of place where you can wander into a gift shop, grab an ice cream, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and simply take in the slower pace of mountain life.
One of our favorite ways to experience Eagle Nest is to pair shopping with one of the area's outdoor activities. Spend the morning fishing at Eagle Nest Lake, then head into town for lunch and an afternoon of shopping. Another great option is to explore the scenic hiking trails in nearby Cimarron Canyon before finishing the day strolling through Eagle Nest's downtown.
It isn't a large shopping destination—but that's exactly what makes it enjoyable. The relaxed atmosphere is part of its charm.

Red River Shopping
Approximately 45 minute drive from Aspen Springs.
If you're looking for a lively mountain town with an Old West mining-town feel, Red River is well worth the drive. Its historic Main Street is lined with locally owned shops, outdoor outfitters, souvenir stores, restaurants, and mountain-themed boutiques. We love simply wandering through town, stopping in whatever catches our eye before finding a great place to eat.
One of our favorite day trips starts with renting ATVs in the morning and exploring the mountain trails surrounding Red River. Afterward, we usually head to the Red River Brewing Company for lunch before spending the afternoon browsing the shops along Main Street.
Before leaving town, we always make one final stop at The Candy Crate. Their famous Candy Mountain Fudge has become a tradition for our family, and bringing a few pieces back to the cabin makes for the perfect evening treat after a day of adventure. In addition to incredible fudge, you'll find nostalgic candies, chocolates, gifts, and plenty of fun surprises.
Most of the shopping in Red River centers around souvenirs, mountain apparel, outdoor gear, and gifts, making it an excellent place to pick up a reminder of your vacation.
